Should I turn a bedroom into a walk-in closet?
“I really want to turn my third bedroom into a walk-in closet, but know it’s harder to sell. How much do you think it would bring down my home value if I did?”
I personally bought two bedroom homes in the past. So there are still people that will buy a two bedroom home. I’ve also changed garages into living space, which is also not super rate on that. People will still buy those homes.
Let’s just say you’re walking down the hallway and there are three doors, one to the master and you’re going to turn the second one into a walk-in closet. I would just keep the door on the one side, drywall the inside. So that part doesn’t look easy. If down the road, they want to put it back. Obviously, structural walls, hopefully that you’re taking out, it goes off of your square footage and such. You’re only staying there six months doesn’t make sense.
