Renovation Time!
Depending on your property, you may be considering making light or mild renovations or you might be looking at a total overhaul. But regardless, you are probably going to do some updating, unless you bought a turn-key-ready rentals/property/home.
The majority will not get exactly what they wanted when they buy homes. Maybe the color is not right or you are not happy with the tiles or sink, but most probably, there are things you want to change. So, here are the things that you need to consider when you renovate your home.
Is the property up to code? If not, there must be some things that you are required to do like electrical, plumbing, heating, and whatnot.
Aside from the upfront, you also need to take full consideration of the internal/ backside area of the house. So let’s say there is mold on the basement, or the foundation is cracked, you can have little fixes on those you can. Because if you put 10 thousand dollars for the kitchen, there will be major transformation, but if you put those dollars on the foundation repair or the mold remediation, you’ll see quite no upfront changes.
This does not only mean the exterior of the house. External updates may also refer to rearranging the walls, applying open concepts, updating the lighting, and all other ‘pretty updates’ that we can physically see.
More likely adding stagey elements such as pillows that enhance the cosmetic appeal of the home. People are emotional creatures and they want to have a certain feel in their home. It may be cozy, sweet, conventional, professional, industrial, and many more.
And, as much as possible…
