How to know when you’re redoing too much of your home?
My wife is always redoing things in the house, often when we just did them five years ago, for example. How do we know when it’s too much and not worth it and not making any sense?
You’re not going to replace your roof or your windows every five years. I don’t believe it’s a huge deal whether you have some window coverings or illumination or couch cushions or pillows or throws. But, yes, they do say you’re Taj Mahal-ing it.
For example, if you renovate your kitchen and put quartz countertops, but you are in a bad area, you don’t have a garage, and you have two bedrooms and one bathroom, you would be better off not doing it. And put the money into another home that has a double-car garage.
