How does home staging help?
Do you really think staging helps or is it just a game to charge people more?
There’s lots of studies that say 4% higher, 6.5% higher, but it’s usually in around that 5% range that they say gets higher if it’s staged.
Usually if a person comes into a home, it kind of feels sterile, cold, and it’s institutional like when it’s not staged. It’s a different kind of layout. Some people might think, ‘Would a couch fit here?’, ‘Would a table fit here?’ or ‘It’s too small for this or too small for that’. But if you have it there and they can physically see it, they’re like, ‘Oh yeah, this could be a little reading, a little study area, could be great for a pool table’, etc.
But normally people need less things as opposed to more.
