Most farmhouse and acreage homeowners are baffled by the super undertakings especially knowing how hot the market is.

Unfortunately,

So if you’re buying a house in 7 acres or 65 acres or more lot, the bank will only look at the home, they are going to look at the 5 acres and that’s it. They are not going to give value to the barn nor the riding stable. They also don’t give value to out-buildings.

This is probably why even if homeowners paid 1.3 million on it, they will only say that the house is worth x amount and the land. So, this is probably why the appraisals are coming in low.
